It started with Sid
In November 2022, Sid Sijbrandij was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare bone cancer, in his spine. Surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation followed, but in 2024 the cancer returned and Sid's doctors told him he had run out of therapeutic options.
So Sid did what founders do: he took agency. He assembled a team, pursued every diagnostic he could, built individualized treatments, and ran them in parallel.
Inspired by Sid's playbook, Even One Ventures builds companies so that future patients don't have to start from scratch.
